22 weeks and 1 day
How far along: 22 Weeks
Weeks to due date: 18 Weeks
Total weight gain: 12 pounds
Maternity clothes: Oh
yes =)
Sleep: This week was
kind of up and down sleep wise. I
sunburned my legs pretty badly on Friday so that has put a damper on the sleep.
Best moment this week:
This has been an excellent week! I got to watch my friend’s son Jackson
on Thursday which was a blast! He makes me so excited to be a mom! On Friday I got to mow for about 4 hours which I LOVE!!!! Seriously! One reason it's so great is because the mower is a riding mower with a 10 foot deck on it. Another reason I Love mowing is because camp looks even prettier with freshly mowed grass all over! Andy and I had Saturday off together so we
slept in and were pretty lazy. We went
to Medina for ice cream which was awesome! My friend Eliza and I went on a
wonderful long walk before lunch and later that night to celebrate her last
night of being 29 we went to Bismarck and saw Now You See Me. It was a great day with my hubby and with my
bestie! Then on Sunday for Eliza’s birthday we (Tim, Eliza, Jackson, Andy and me) went to the Zoo and to Johnny
Carinos! Such a great week!
What I miss: Not being able to swim. I have to wait a little
longer for the water to warm up so it doesn’t shock my system…my nurse midwife’s
suggestion. I am thankful for the cool
spring we’ve had and the rain but I’m ready for warm days and refreshing swims
in the lake.
Movement: More and more all the time!
Food cravings: I don’t know that I would say that I crave
ice cream but it sure does make me happy!
Making me queasy:
Nothing
Starting to show: Oh
yes! My belly button is getting
shallower!
Gender: We shall know
in about 18 weeks =)
Happy or moody: Happy,
happy, happy!!!! Yes, yes I am quoting
Duck Dynasty!
Things I've been experiencing this week: Well this was another week of deep
thought. This week my desires that I
have as a wife and as a soon to be mom were on my mind a lot. Part of this thought process comes from how
in awe of my husband I am and how thankful I am for him. He is such a hardworking man that many like
and are blessed by. Since the summer staff
have been here, I have really had the opportunity to see the leader that he is
and how so many look up to him and respect him.
He loves his job and loves working hard and that is so admirable. This has made me think of how I want that joy
he has for his job and those he works with to continue even when things at home
change. Yes, there are a lot of added responsibilities
and priorities that come with starting a family but it is my hope that we can
adapt in a way that lets him have freedom and blessing in his work AND his
family.
What I'm looking forward to:
Well…. Obviously…… having our baby! I have seen sooooooo many babies lately
and they make me sooooooo excited for our little one to arrive! I can be patient but I really am looking
forward to being a family of three!
Size of baby: A
papaya. I also read that it is the size of a small baby doll =)
