39 Weeks |
How far along: 39
Weeks
Weeks to due date:
1
Total weight gain:
37 pounds
Maternity clothes:
Maternity Jeans, tops, and cardigans.
Sleep: My cold has gotten a little better making it
easier to sleep at night. I get up about
3 or 4 times to go to the bathroom though so that keeps me up. Also, my arms have started falling asleep
again so I wake up to no feeling in both hands at the same time.
Best moment this
week: I had great chats with my
Grandma Mary and my Dad on the phone today.
I think the best thing was when my Dad said that he hopes that I pop
soon. Exact words! I am so thankful for my family and the
support and laughter they bring. I am
truly blessed!
Another great moment this week was launching a Facebook page
called B. Cozy. I Love to crochet and I
am excited to be posting my creations and maybe getting some business from it.
What I miss: I
can’t really think of anything besides what I’ve already talked about in
previous posts.
Movement: So
much. I think I am going to miss it.
Food cravings: None
Making me queasy:
Nothing
Starting to show: Rub the Buddha
Gender: We will know when our little one arrives =) Any
last guesses before baby comes?
Happy or moody: Happy
but this anticipation that is building is a little annoying. I want the baby to stay as long as he or she
likes but I seriously just want to birth the darn little thing so that we can
play.
p.s. I know there’s a
lot more to parenting than that ;)
Things I've been
experiencing this week: Well, last
night I actually thought that labor was starting. I had bad back pain yesterday and then at
3:30 this morning had really bad back pain that moved to my abdomen and lasted
for about a minute. It was the same sudden
pain that I had a few weeks ago that made me puke. My midwife said that that was a contraction
caused by the baby lying on a nerve so when I felt that again I thought it might actually be labor starting. So I
got out of bed, went to the bathroom, walked around a little, had a glass of water, and then….. nothing
else happened. I am glad that babies
come when they want to but not knowing for sure what labor will feel like when it starts
is nerve racking. I’ve read how it might
feel when it starts but then I also read that everyone is different and every
labor is different so the common things that women feel might not apply. Then other things you read tell you that you will most likely just know from instinct but that
you might be incorrect but that’s okay.
Anybody else confused?
What I am looking
forward to: I am looking forward to
the joys and trials of becoming a parent.
I am so excited to meet this little one and for my whole world to be
rocked by all of the excitement and exhaustion. I am so excited to hold our baby in my arms and to rub his or her sweet little face. I am looking forward to my heart hurting because of the overwhelming happiness we will feel but also from the the fears and anxiety's we will surely face. I am so thankful that we have our heavenly father to turn to and learn from.
Size of baby: A watermelon
