Week 23

23 weeks and 3 days

How far along: 23 Weeks

Weeks to due date: 17 Weeks

Total weight gain: 13 pounds

Maternity clothes:  Yes, and I Love them!

Sleep:  This has been a pretty bad week for sleep.  On Monday night I started feeling sick and by Tuesday morning I was super congested and coughing a lot. It was hard to sleep because I couldn’t breathe very well.

Best moment this week:  I can feel the baby move and now…. So can Andy!!!  And anyone else who wants to feel.   On Wednesday night we were lying in bed and about to say our prayers and the baby was moving a lot!  I had Andy feel my belly because I was pretty sure I could feel it on the outside but wasn’t positive.  Then… he felt our baby move!!!! It was a pretty sweet moment! So now he and a few of my friends have had a chance to feel!

What I miss: I've been missing my family a lot!

Movement: Oh yes! I am feeling our baby more and more and now others can too!

Food cravings: Food! I’m hungry allllll the time!

Making me queasy:  Nothing

Starting to show:   Oh baby yes! I am showing!

Gender:  We shall know in about 17 weeks =)

Happy or moody:  I feel very happy! Obviously I’m not perfect and I have my moments but I truly am enjoying this pregnancy and life overall!

Things I've been experiencing this week:  This week has been pretty good despite being sick and tired.  We are in full camp mode and have been for a few weeks now which means Andy and I are working 6 days a week and working 10-12 hour days…  We both love this ministry and how it glorifies God which makes the busyness and lack of sleep worth it! At the same time a little more sleep and rest could be nice =)

What I'm looking forward to:  Jr. High camp! My sister will be here for a whole week! And my parents are bringing the youth which means family time!!

Size of baby:  A Grapefruit

Week 22

22 weeks and 1 day

How far along: 22 Weeks

Weeks to due date: 18 Weeks

Total weight gain: 12 pounds

Maternity clothes:  Oh yes =)

Sleep:  This week was kind of up and down sleep wise.  I sunburned my legs pretty badly on Friday so that has put a damper on the sleep.

Best moment this week:  This has been an excellent week! I got to watch my friend’s son Jackson on Thursday which was a blast! He makes me so excited to be a mom!  On Friday I got to mow for about 4 hours which I LOVE!!!! Seriously! One reason it's so great is because the mower is a riding mower with a 10 foot deck on it.  Another reason I Love mowing is because camp looks even prettier with freshly mowed grass all over! Andy and I had Saturday off together so we slept in and were pretty lazy.  We went to Medina for ice cream which was awesome! My friend Eliza and I went on a wonderful long walk before lunch and later that night to celebrate her last night of being 29 we went to Bismarck and saw Now You See Me.  It was a great day with my hubby and with my bestie! Then on Sunday for Eliza’s birthday we (Tim, Eliza, Jackson, Andy and me) went to the Zoo and to Johnny Carinos!  Such a great week!

What I miss: Not being able to swim. I have to wait a little longer for the water to warm up so it doesn’t shock my system…my nurse midwife’s suggestion.  I am thankful for the cool spring we’ve had and the rain but I’m ready for warm days and refreshing swims in the lake.

Movement: More and more all the time!

Food cravings: I don’t know that I would say that I crave ice cream but it sure does make me happy!

Making me queasy:  Nothing

Starting to show:   Oh yes!  My belly button is getting shallower!

Gender:  We shall know in about 18 weeks =)

Happy or moody:  Happy, happy, happy!!!!  Yes, yes I am quoting Duck Dynasty!

Things I've been experiencing this week:  Well this was another week of deep thought.  This week my desires that I have as a wife and as a soon to be mom were on my mind a lot.  Part of this thought process comes from how in awe of my husband I am and how thankful I am for him.  He is such a hardworking man that many like and are blessed by.  Since the summer staff have been here, I have really had the opportunity to see the leader that he is and how so many look up to him and respect him.  He loves his job and loves working hard and that is so admirable.  This has made me think of how I want that joy he has for his job and those he works with to continue even when things at home change.  Yes, there are a lot of added responsibilities and priorities that come with starting a family but it is my hope that we can adapt in a way that lets him have freedom and blessing in his work AND his family.

What I'm looking forward to:  Well…. Obviously…… having our baby! I have seen sooooooo many babies lately and they make me sooooooo excited for our little one to arrive!  I can be patient but I really am looking forward to being a family of three!

Size of baby:  A papaya. I also read that it is the size of a small baby doll =)

Week 21

21 weeks and 2 days

How far along: 21 Weeks

Weeks to due date: 19 Weeks

Total weight gain: 11 pounds

Maternity clothes:  Yes! They are so great!

Sleep:  I have been sleeping wonderfully!

Best moment this week:  Seeing our baby at our ultrasound!  Our baby was pretty ornery and was moving around the whole time.  Our ultrasound technician really had to work hard to get the needed pictures but that just meant we got to spend extra time looking at our little one!

  Our Baby!

The little stinker kept covering its face so we didn't get a good look.

What I miss:  Being able to do things without people telling me what I should and shouldn’t be doing…. It probably shouldn’t bother me but sometimes I feel like people don’t know that I know that I’m pregnant.  I am so thankful that people care, I just have my moments.

Movement: Oh yes! It is sooooooo great!

Food cravings: None

Making me queasy:  Nothing

Starting to show:   Oh yes. I am filling out quite nicely =)

Gender:  We were strong and didn’t find out at our ultrasound.  It was a little tempting but I know it will be a great surprise in October.

Happy or moody:  Happy but tired most of the time.

Things I've been experiencing this week:  Still a lot of back pain.  I think I will go to the chiropractor soon.  We are in full camp mode now so it seems that the days are going faster and faster but slower at the same time if that makes sense.  It has been great having the summer staff here and I am so glad to be serving here at CSBC.

What I'm looking forward to:  I am really looking forward to when I can feel the baby move when I touch my stomach.  I feel a little selfish that I can feel this baby move all the time and Andy can’t.  It will be neat when he gets to feel and see my belly move!

Size of baby:  A pomegranate
